I want to share with you about some of the famous people and celebrities in the world that have a stutter, or they’ve previously had a stutter and done something about it.

The reason why I wanted to write about this topic is that very often we come across clients, students, members of the public, and people in our line of work, that feel isolated and left out of the crowd because of their stuttering difficulties.

I don’t want you to feel like you a different. I don’t want you to feel like you’re somebody strange or weird because you do stutter.

How many people in the world Stutter?

As a matter matter-of-fact one in a hundred people across the world struggle with a stutter. One in a hundred people! That means 70 million people worldwide stutter.

Now you might not know anyone in your neighborhood, you might not know anyone in your school that stutters, but I can assure you that you have come across celebrities and famous people on TV, in the movies, in cinemas that have a stutter or had a stutter and they’ve done something about that.

Celebrities That Had A Stutter

Tiger Woods – Growing up he had a stutter.

Julia Roberts and her brother Eric Roberts, both very popular and successful actors and actresses, they both had a stutter growing up, and they did something about it.

Emily Blunt – she had a stutter.

Tim Gunn from Project Runway… he had a stutter.

The famous, global icon, Ed Sheeran – he had a stutter growing up. He also openly talks about the challenges, the anxiety, the fear, and the stress that he faced growing up as a result of having a stutter.

Former CEO of GE, General Electric, Jack Welch – he had a stutter.

Modern-day celebrities like Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ronald Akison – they all had a Stutter!

Former vice president Joe Biden – he had a Stutter too!

How Did They Stop Stuttering?

All of these individuals had a stutter at some point in their lives, and they went out and did something about it. They Took Action!
